Observations: If a variety did not perform in the summer of 2005, it probably never will. We have made room for new varieties, with an emphasis on Organic and Heirloom Seends, and tossed out a few poor performers.
If vegetable prices continue to escalate, our currency just might convert to watermelon and pepper seeds. But remember, these are healthy, ready to plant, 3 1/2 inch vegetable starters. Still the best deal in the catalog!

For CALIFORNIA Tomato and Pepper orders only: Due to Ohio laws, enacted July 2004, but only brought to our attention by our inspector on March 31, 2005, all California customers who order tomato and pepper plants need to add an extra $25.00 on your order.
That is the cost that Ohio Dept. of Ag. charges us for each Colorado Beetle Certificate PER customer/order.
Regardless of the fact we do NOT have Ohio, California OR Colorado Potato Beetles in our greenhouse, all Ohio nurseries must ship with this certificate plastered on the box.
We don't blame you for going elsewhere for tomatoes. We encourage you to seek out sources within California as we'd imagine other states have received similar mandates. We, like our Ohio State inspector,apologize for this ridiculous (-oops, did I say that?) law.
