Oh St. Johnswort! I gotta try it. What's it for anyway? This particular cultivar may have the highest content of hypericin (the active ingredient) that we've found, but you need to do your own medicinal research. Summer brings small yellow flowers with smaller leaves than the landscape variety. Used medicinally as an antidepressant, antiviral, antispasmodic and wound healer. As with all herbs- use carefully. |
