Home: Catalog: Tender Perennial: Mexican Oregano

Mexican Oregano
Botanical Name: Lippia graveolens
Life Cycle: Tender Perennial
Description/Size:
Labeled as true oregano or Ore'gano cimmaron in Mexico and southwest U.S., but botanically it's not. I would describe it as oregano with a funky, cilantro (piquant) flavor. Leaves are bright green & scalloped on semi-woody branches, which if properly pruned, will look like a small tree. For authentic southwest chili look no further.
