Everyone has seen the overused "Potentilla" in a landscape but imagine a petite version. The bright yellow 3/8" single rose flowers reveal it's membership in the rose family. Because it is a slow spreading groundcover, it's an icon in our winter windowsill gardens with a rosemary tree and a lemon thyme.
