Chive Growing Tips: Cut back to 1” high after blossoming. You’ll be rewarded with a second flush of growth and will prevent massive reseeding. (Not a worry for “Seed- Free.”) All are hardy to at least Zone 5.
Use the flowers fresh in salads for a “No Tears” sweet “Vidalia or Walla Walla” flavor. Or how about in vinegars, fresh flower arrangements, or bouquets? Important: Snip leaf blades with scissors to avoid bruising with a knife. |
