| Japanese Beetle are migratory. Whatever is done should also be done with neighbors as a community.
1. Milky Spore: A bacterial powder applied to lawn in early spring. Kills overwintering grubs for 10 years. Expensive, but not as expensive as “Dursban TM” over the 10 years.
2. Neem Oil Products: Japanese Beetle will sooner starve to death than eat sprayed leaves. Must be reapplied after rains, and is not cheap.
3. Traps: Very effective. Must be done as neighborhood, otherwise you are simply attracting your neighbors beetles into your own yard. |
