Greek Pita Feast
In March of 2004, Mary Jane Lalonde and I collaborated on a day long "Comfort Workshop" with a class on using herbs in soap, infused oils and tea. I demonstrated and shared the story of the Native Peoples' Medicine Wheel Garden. Keeping in that spirit, we prepared a nourishing, comfort food luncheon. This recipe is from the luncheon.
2 Quarts plus 8 bags cinnamon herbal tea
1 apple, sliced
12 ou. frozen cranapple juice concentrate
3- 6" cinnamon sticks
Add tea bags to 1 quart boiling water, cover and allow to steep 5 minutes. Remove tea bags from water, add cranapple juice concentrate. Fill apple juice can 3 times with cold water and pour into tea mixture. Garnish with apple slices and cinnamon sticks. |
