Eventually, this will outgrow a containerized landscape (figure about 1 foot each decade), but until it does, it fills the role as an upright, dwarf tree with roughly 1/2" variegated leaves. As it matures, put it out in a railroad or other pocket in the garden reserved for specimens you enjoy close by. Even beginners can prune and shape it, so it's a great starter bonsai. KAREN
